When introducing new clients to an exercise regimen, I often recommend starting with three key supplements:

This first of this protocol stems from the fact that protein helps keep blood sugar level, promotes muscular gain, muscular recovery.

To meet your protein needs as an athlete (aim for about 1 gram per pound of body weight), consider using quality protein powder. This supplement aids in reaching goals efficiently and boosting daily energy levels.

There are a few things I look for in a protein powder. The first is the sourcing. I only recommend whey proteins if they come from grass-fed cows like this one from ONNIT.

The second is the additives. You want to avoid any sweeteners like Splenda, sucralose, and aspartame or sugar alcohols like erythritol, sorbitol/glucitol, lactitol, isomalt, maltitol, mannitol, glycerol/glycerin, and xylitol.

While it’s acceptable to opt for protein powder sweetened with Stevia or Monk Fruit, it can be excessively sweet, potentially impacting its palatability for some.
